The takepayments Transactions page in VGM allows you to manage and review all takepayments transactions, including both successful and failed transactions. Here’s how to access and use this page effectively:

To Access the takepayments Transactions Page Go to "Financial > takepayments Transactions".

Reviewing Transactions

  1. Transaction List:

    • The page provides a comprehensive list of all takepayments transactions within a specified date range.

    • Approved transactions will be linked to a "Sales Receipt" or "Sales Refund" and will display the customer’s name along with any applicable reference related to the transaction.

    • Unapproved or failed transactions will also be displayed for review.

  2. Identifying Orphaned Transactions:

    • Transactions that are not linked to a "Sales Receipt" or "Sales Refund" will be marked with a warning triangle and red text in the Customer Name field.

    • Orphaned transactions can occur due to deleting a "Sales Receipt" or "Sales Refund", or because of issues during the transaction process (e.g., closing the browser during a transaction).

Rectifying Orphaned Transactions

  1. Linking Orphaned Transactions:

    • You can retrospectively create a "Sales Receipt" or "Sales Refund" and link it to the orphaned takepayments transaction.

    • On the takepayments Transactions page, you can either:

      • Double-click the row to directly reconcile it to a "Sales Receipt" or "Sales Refund"

      • Single-click the row and then click the "View Transaction Detail" button at the top of the grid to open the "takepayments Transaction Detail" page.

Viewing Transaction Details

  1. Transaction Detail Page:

    • The "takepayments Transaction Detail" page provides detailed information about the transaction, including:

      • Transaction ID

      • Transaction timestamp

      • Amount

      • Payment method

      • Customer information

      • Any references or notes associated with the transaction

  2. Reconciling Transactions:

    • From the "takepayments Transaction Detail" page, you can create and link a "Sales Receipt" or "Sales Refund" to reconcile the orphaned transaction, ensuring all transactions are properly accounted for.
