Overview
Use Regenerate when you want Motics to create a new document from an existing session, such as a GP letter, patient-friendly summary, referral note, discharge letter, or a version using a different template.
Regenerating does not overwrite the original session. It creates a new output that you can review, edit, copy, download, or push to an EHR.
Common uses
Convert clinical notes into a GP letter, referral, or discharge document.
Turn a technical note into a patient-friendly summary.
Apply a different template to the same consultation.
Compare AI models before choosing the final version.
Step by step
Open Scribe Agent and go to History.
Open the session you want to reuse.
Select Regenerate.
Choose the template you want to generate into.
Choose an AI model if you want to override your default.
Add Specific Instructions only if the output needs extra context or a particular emphasis.
Generate the new version, then review and edit it before using it clinically.
Current AI model names
The current model aliases are Nightingale, Crick, Wilkins, Fleming, Newton, Curie, and Medawar. Nightingale is the platform default when no personal preference has been set.
What carries over?
The clinical facts captured in the original session.
Relevant transcript and context used for the first output.
Patient details and merge fields where your template supports them.
What can change?
The document format and structure, based on the template selected.
The tone, length, and level of detail, based on the model and instructions.
The audience, for example clinician-facing, patient-facing, or referrer-facing.
Best practice
Keep extra instructions short and specific. If the regenerated output will be copied into an EHR or sent externally, review it for clinical accuracy before saving or sending.
