Who is Melissa Kendter?
You may have noticed exercise tutorial videos in Move Together or Weekly Moves featuring a trainer who isn't Madeline — that's Melissa Kendter, a Moves-affiliated certified trainer and running coach!
Melissa brings over 12 years of experience as a certified Personal Trainer, Functional Strength Coach, and UESCA Running Coach, specializing in strength and conditioning for athletes of all levels. With a background as a collegiate athlete and multi-marathon finisher, she combines strength, endurance, and mobility to help members improve fitness, performance, and confidence. Her approach is rooted in science and is designed to empower members at every level.
Melissa played a key role in creating the Moves running and hybrid programs — including the Race Day Guides and Commit Performance — as well as the strength workouts that accompany them.
Why does Melissa appear in some exercise videos?
We want every member to get the clearest, most helpful view of each exercise as possible. For certain movements, Melissa's angle or demonstration gives the best visual cue for form and technique — so you'll occasionally see her in tutorial videos within Move Together or Weekly Moves. This is intentional and all about giving you the best workout experience!
