What should I include in the box?

You will need to create a quote for the gear you wish to sell. This could be for your camera, lens, and any other equipment such as tripods and lighting. When you are ready to submit your quote, you will then receive an overview of what we expect to receive.

When packing your gear, include only the items listed in your quote along with any appropriate accessories for those items. You can view the required accessories in the example below, under “Included items” after clicking the dropdown titled “What’s included”.

Note: Included accessories must be fully functional

Original Accessories

These are accessories made by the same brand as your gear — designed to work specifically with the item you're selling. Original accessories are usually required to receive the full value of your quote.

Items such as original packaging, neck straps or instruction manuals may increase your quote depending on the model, and they will not have a negative impact if they are missing.

Third-Party Accessories

These are accessories made by other brands — such as Wasabi, Neewer, or SmallRig — but still designed to work with your gear. MPB may accept them in some cases, depending on the item type.

To view the third party accessories which we may accept on your quote, please view the “Not included” section of your quote.

Cameras

The following accessories are normally required to ensure the full value is received on your quote:

  • 1x Original Battery

  • 1x Original Charger

  • Eye Cup

  • Battery Door

  • Body Cap (to protect the sensor during transit)

If you do not have an original battery or charger for your camera, one third-party version can be sent instead at an adjusted price.

As we only purchase one battery and one charger per camera, any additional originals must be quoted separately. Extra third-party batteries or chargers will not be purchased or returned.

Lenses

Items such as kit lenses — lenses that were originally bundled with a camera body — must be quoted separately, as we purchase them individually.

The following accessories are normally required to ensure the full value is received on your quote:

  • Front & Rear lens caps (to protect the glass during transit)

  • Original Lens Hood (if applicable)

  • Original Tripod Collar (if applicable)

If you do not have an original lens cap, lens hood, or tripod collar, a third-party version may be sent instead at an adjusted price, depending on the model.

Please note that these are approximate. Please refer to the ‘What’s Included’ section of your quote for more information about the accessories required.

Drones

For information regarding drones, please see our Selling or Trading Drones with MPB article.

Cinema and Video Equipment

MPB accepts a variety of video gear, ranging from professional cinema setups to consumer-level camcorders and accessories. This includes digital cinema cameras, compact camcorders, modular video systems, and various used third-party components.

As with all items sent to MPB, any accessories must appear under "What’s included" or be quoted separately. If you're unsure whether something qualifies—especially if it's a standalone accessory or not listed by default—please contact us before shipping. Our team will be happy to confirm if the item can be purchased.

Unlisted Items

Please ensure that the item you wish to sell is listed and quoted before booking with the courier.

If the item you wish to sell isn’t available through our quote page, or you are unable to find the listed model, you can select ‘I can’t find what I am looking for’ within the quote creation page. Once submitted, our team will review the item(s) to determine if this can be bought by MPB, and a quote will be generated and sent within one business day.

Disposal Notice

To ensure a safe and sustainable working environment for our operations team, the following items will be discarded and/or recycled during the checking process automatically:

  • Soiled packaging

  • Swollen, damaged, and/or non-functional batteries

  • Screen Protectors & covers

  • Damaged cables and/or chargers

  • Unquoted third-party batteries that do not replace an original battery paired with a camera

  • Other damaged items that pose a safety hazard.

If you're selling your gear to MPB, we recommend placing it inside a sturdy outer box rather than using the original packaging as the main parcel. This helps protect the original packaging from damage, meaning it’s less likely to be disposed of during the checking process
