Understanding adjustments and next steps

Learn what happens after we inspect your gear — including how to view checked items, accept or decline your quote, and what comes next.

After we inspect your gear, we may adjust your quote — either up or down — based on it’s condition, functionality and what was included in your parcel. Learn more about what we check.

We may adjust your quote if we find:

  • Sensor faults

  • Autofocus problems

  • Stuck buttons or dials

  • Sticky zoom or focus rings

If your item doesn't work as expected, it may be marked for repair — or in some cases, may not be eligible for resale.

Missing or Extra Accessories

Your quote may also change if expected accessories are missing, for example:

  • Lens caps

  • Batteries

  • Chargers

  • Hoods

If you include bonus items (like extra batteries), our team will note them. However they may not increase your quote unless specifically requested or high in value.

Important: accessories must be included in your parcel when sent, as we can’t accept them later.

After your items have been checked

Once we’ve completed our checks, you’ll receive an email with your updated quote. From there, you can:

  • Amend your quote

  • Decline your quote by contacting our team

  • View detailed images of your gear

How to view images of your checked items

Once we’ve inspected your gear, you’ll receive an email with a link to view detailed images. Click on each image icon to enlarge it and view your item up close - including any areas that may have impacted your final quote. Watch the video below to see how to access and explore your item images.

Accepting your quote:

To accept your quote, follow the link in your confirmation email. From there, you’ll be prompted to:

  • Confirm your payment method

  • Enter your delivery address (if applicable)

  • Submit any final info required for trade in or sale

Once accepted, we’ll begin processing your payment or dispatching your trade-in item. Read more on How MPB sends your payment.

Declining your quote:

If you’d like to decline any or all items on your quote, just contact our team. We’ll arrange a free return delivery of your gear via tracked courier.
