Create a Blog Project from a File or Link

Written by Diana Chalem

Before you start

  • Make sure you have the blog content available as either:

    • A file (for example: .docx, .pdf, or another supported document format), or

    • A publicly accessible link (URL) to the blog post.

  • If you’re using a link, confirm the page opens in your browser (no password/login required).

Create a blog project from a file

  1. In Munch, go to Projects.

  2. Click Create project.

  3. Select Blog (or Blog project).

  4. Choose Upload file.

  5. Drag and drop your blog file, or click Browse to select it.

  6. Click Create project.

What happens next?

  • Munch will read your file and create a new project based on the blog content.

  • Once processing finishes, you’ll be able to continue to the next step and start generating content.

Create a blog project from a link

  1. In Munch, go to Projects.

  2. Click Create project.

  3. Select Blog (or Blog project).

  4. Choose Use a link.

  5. Paste the blog URL.

  6. Click Create project.

Tips for best results

  • Use the full URL (including https://).

  • If the blog post is split across pages, use the main page that contains the full article text.

Troubleshooting

The upload fails

  • Double-check your file format and try uploading again.

  • If the file is very large, try exporting a lighter version (for example, remove heavy images) and re-upload.

The link doesn’t work

  • Make sure the URL is public and accessible.

  • Try opening it in an incognito/private window. If it asks you to sign in, Munch may not be able to read it.

  • If the page redirects multiple times, try copying the final URL from your browser’s address bar.

FAQs

Can I upload a file and add a link in the same project?

Not right now. Create the project using either a file or a link. If you need both, create the project with the option that has the most complete version of your blog.

What if my blog is on a platform that blocks access?

If Munch can’t access the page, download/export the blog post and use Upload file instead.
