Every now and then, releases can end up on the profile of artists who share the same name as yours, or similar. This of course can be frustrating, but it’s sometimes hard for the platforms to assign releases to the correct artist profiles, especially if the name is used by multiple artists. Here on Spotify you can see that there are over 30 artists with the name Artifact:
To correct this, each platform can offer different solutions:
SPOTIFY:
The artist tool Spotify for Artists allows you to correctly assign releases when they have landed on the wrong profile. Not only can you correct these mistakes, but you will also have a powerful tool for viewing your statistics, updating your pictures, biography, tour events, merchandise and more. We highly recommend signing up as it is a guaranteed way to enhance your presence on Spotify. You can find out more info here for signing up, and also on how to correct releases assigned to wrong profiles:
Alternatively, MusicHub is able to move your release to a new profile, or to link up with music that you already have online. Send a message to customer support, and we will be able to help you further.
