Prior to this step, you should have submitted box contents using the API method.
If you submitted box contents using 2D barcodes, you will finish the shipment inside Seller Central, and you can skip this page. AccelerList will guide you to the correct page on Seller Central to complete the placement, transportation, and shipping label steps in the inbound shipping (Send to Amazon) workflow.
The next step in the process is called placement (deciding which fulfillment centers to send your products into), and transportation (deciding which shipping carriers to use).
Amazon’s API gives you a few options for placement and transportation to choose from.
To preview those options, click Generate Placement Preview. This takes a few minutes and will show you all the fulfillment centers.
After a few minutes, transportation options will appear. In this case, there are three fulfillment center options.
In our experience, we’ve found sellers typically have a “preferred” fulfillment center that processes their items fastest. If you are new to FBA, we suggest trying to a few different fulfillment centers to gather your own experience.
Once your placement options have appeared, click Get Transport Options to preview the shipping options offered at that fulfillment center.
Once loaded, you’ll see the carrier options. Keep in mind:
AP = Amazon-Partnered Carrier
NP = Non Amazon-Partnered Carrier
If the provided option is Amazon-Partnered, you will see an exact price in the dropdown option.
Otherwise, you will see Amazon’s rough estimate of the shipping cost, but you will need to work with the carrier directly to purchase the label and arrange pickup.
Amazon-Partnered options will always show up first in the list whenever available.
If you do not see an Amazon-partnered carrier, you can click Get Transport Options on another placement option to preview the options there. Sometimes Amazon’s API doesn’t provide an Amazon-Partnered option.
From personal experience, we’ve found that, in almost all cases, at least one of the three options contains the UPS option.
Click Continue to confirm the placement & transportation.
Now you're ready for the final step before your boxes are ready: printing shipping labels.
What if I don’t see any Amazon-Partnered UPS options?
We noticed recently (in October 2025) that Amazon’s API intermittently returns no Amazon-Partnered options when you click the Generate Transportation Options button.
We've found that the best options to solve are:
Generating Transportation Option for a different placement option, or
Clicking the Regenerate Option button for the selected placement.
Retrying a few times usually solves any issues that pop up.
Here's an example. I initially generated transportation options for the first placement option, but Amazon only provided non-partnered shipping carrier options.
I later tried previewing the transportation optiosn for the second placement option (shipment going to PBI3), and as you can see below, Amazon indeed offered the Amazon-Partnered UPS transportation option.
You'll also find the Re-generate options button in grey. You can click this button to generate a new set of transportation options.
In our experience, we've found that retrying Re-generate options a few times does make a difference. If you have a preferred fulfillment center, you may find this helpful.
