The 3 Types of Business Policies
Business Policies are reusable templates that define your selling terms. All policy fields must be managed within eBay Seller Hub.
Policy Type | Definition | AccelerList Default (Reference) |
Fulfillment (Shipping) | Where you ship from, carriers, costs, and handling time. | Free Shipping, 1 business day handling. |
Payment | Payment methods accepted and immediate payment requirement. | Immediate Payment Required, uses your configured PayPal email. |
Return | Whether returns are accepted, return window, and who pays return shipping. | 30-Day Returns Accepted, Buyer pays return shipping. |
Option A: Using Your Own Existing Policies
If you had policies on eBay before connecting, they will appear automatically in the dropdowns.
Go to AccelerList Settings > eBay Settings.
In the Fulfillment, Payment, and Return dropdowns, simply select your custom policy names instead of the "AccelerList..." options.
Wait for the "Updated successfully" message after each selection.
Option B: Creating New Custom Policies
To use a policy not created by AccelerList, you must create it directly on eBay first.
1. Create Policies on eBay
Go to eBay Seller Hub (or My eBay) → Business Policies.
Click "Create policy" for the type you need.
Fill in the required fields (see checklist below).
Click "Save" for each policy.
2. Select Policies in AccelerList
Return to AccelerList Settings > eBay Settings.
Refresh the page to ensure your new policies are loaded.
Select your newly created custom policy name from the relevant dropdown.
Wait for the "Updated successfully" confirmation.
3. Policy Content Checklist
If you create your own policies, they must meet eBay's requirements. Make sure you fill in ALL required fields for the policy to be valid:

Merchant Location Customization
Your Merchant Location is your physical shipping address, created automatically by AccelerList. You can create and use a different location if needed.
Using a Different Location
Go to eBay Seller Hub → Inventory → Locations.
Click "Create location" and enter your desired fulfillment address and a unique name (e.g., "Texas Warehouse").
Return to AccelerList Settings > eBay Settings.
Select your new custom location from the "Merchant Location" dropdown.
🔒 Privacy Note: Buyers only see your City, State, and Country. Your street address and zip code are private.
