Overview

If you encounter the error “An andon cord has been pulled on your account” while processing a shipment, this means that Amazon has temporarily restricted an action on your seller account. This is not caused by AccelerList, but by a requirement or issue that needs attention directly in your Amazon Seller Central account.


What this error means

An Andon Cord is a safeguard used by Amazon to pause certain actions (like creating or processing shipments) when something needs your review or acknowledgment.

This usually happens when:

  • There is an issue with a shipment (e.g., overweight or incorrect box dimensions)

  • Amazon requires you to review or confirm shipment details

  • There are compliance or account-related alerts that need action


Common example

A recent case involved a seller who sent a shipment that exceeded Amazon’s weight limits. Amazon placed an Andon Cord restriction until the seller:

  1. Reviewed the shipment in Seller Central

  2. Acknowledged the issue

  3. Confirmed the correction

Once completed, they were able to proceed with listing and shipments again.


How to resolve the issue

Follow these steps to fix the error:

  1. Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account

  2. Go to Shipping Queue / Manage FBA Shipments

  3. Look for any shipment with alerts, warnings, or required actions

  4. Open the affected shipment and review the details

  5. Acknowledge or fix any issues (e.g., weight, dimensions, compliance prompts)

  6. If no clear action is shown, contact Amazon Seller Support for clarification

  7. Once resolved, return to AccelerList and try again

This restriction comes directly from Amazon, so it must be resolved within Seller Central before you can continue processing shipments or listings in AccelerList.
