Learn what Merchant Fulfilled (MF) means, how it works, and when sellers choose this method instead of using FBA.

Updated this week

🧭 Overview

MF (Merchant Fulfilled)—also known as FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant)—means that you, the seller, handle storage, packing, and shipping of your products, instead of Amazon.

📦 How MF Works

  1. List Your Product on Amazon
You create a listing for your item.

  2. Store Your Inventory
You keep your products at home, in a warehouse, or any storage space.

  3. Customer Places an Order
A buyer purchases your item on Amazon.

  4. You Fulfill the Order
You pack and ship the item yourself using your chosen carrier.

  5. Handle Customer Service
You manage messages, returns, and any issues.
