If you track your nutrition in MyFitnessPal and have it connected to Health Connect, you no longer need to manually enter your calories and macronutrients into the MyFitCoach app. They will be automatically synced in real time via Health Connect.

Simply go to Profile > Settings > Health Connect and enable synchronization for the desired data points.

Detailed Instructions

Requirements

To use this feature, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • You need the Android version of the MyFitCoach app with version number 4.82 or higher installed.

  • To sync macros, macro tracking must be enabled. To sync steps, both macro tracking and step tracking must be enabled. These settings can be found in your nutrition profile.

  • Health Connect must be installed and set up on your Android phone.
Starting with Android 14, it is integrated by default. For earlier versions, it's available as a separate app from the Play Store.

  • The data to be synced must be recorded by another app and transferred to Health Connect. MyFitCoach can then retrieve this data.

Enabling the Feature

If you meet these conditions, you can activate the synchronization in the app settings.

  1. Open the MyFitCoach app, go to Profile, tap the gear icon in the top right corner, and select Health Connect.

  2. On this screen, you can enable syncing of your steps, macros, body weight, or workouts (health data) via Health Connect.

  3. If any of the options are not visible, make sure all the conditions listed above are fulfilled.
