In the MyFitCoach app, you have the option to activate deloads both during the onboarding process and in your training profile. A deload is a planned training week with reduced training intensity and volume. This promotes your recovery and regeneration, minimizes the risk of overtraining and injuries, and supports long-term performance improvements.

Is a deload suitable for me?

If you train regularly and intensively and aim to make continuous progress, deloads are especially recommended.

How does a deload work?

During a deload week, MyFitCoach gives you only exercise instructions with a RIR (Reps in Reserve) of 4+, so you can recover without completely interrupting your training. This happens automatically every 5 training weeks, without you having to do anything.

How do I adjust deloads?

If you want to lengthen or shorten the intervals between deloads, you can comfortably adjust this via your training profile. To do this, go to the "Training" tab > "Training" button at the top > "Deloads" and change the next deload week accordingly. Please note that the displayed weeks are training weeks, not calendar weeks.

If you want to slowly get back into training with a deload after a longer break (e.g., due to illness or injury), simply shift the deload to the current training week. MyFitCoach will then adjust your plan accordingly.
