Good news—if you’re thinking about getting the shingles vaccine, it’s eligible for reimbursement under your Health Spending Account (HSA)! This includes recognized vaccines like Shingrix and Zostavax, which fall under the "Medicines - Vaccines" category.

To make sure your claim is approved, you’ll need to submit an official receipt from your pharmacy or healthcare provider. The receipt should include the name of the vaccine, the amount paid, and the date of service. Don’t forget that the patient’s name and the provider’s details, like the pharmacy or practitioner’s credentials, also need to be listed.

If you’re not familiar with shingles, it’s a painful condition caused by the reactivation of the chickenpox virus. Vaccines like Shingrix and Zostavax are highly effective at reducing your risk of getting shingles and dealing with its complications, especially for adults over 50.

Once you’ve got your receipt, submitting your claim is simple. Just log into your myHSA account, upload the receipt under the "Medicines - Vaccines" category, and submit. Reimbursements usually come through quickly, so you can get back to focusing on what matters.
