Are computers or laptops covered under the myHSA WSA benefits, and how can I check my plan coverage details?

Overview of Coverage

The coverage of computers and laptops under the Wellness Spending Account (WSA) benefits depends on whether your organization's WSA plan explicitly lists them as eligible items. If they are not explicitly included, they will not be covered for reimbursement.

How to Check Your WSA Plan Coverage

You can easily verify whether computers, laptops, or other specific items are covered under your organization’s WSA plan by following these steps:

  1. Log in to your myHSA account.

  2. Navigate to the 'Plans' tab in the app.

  3. Select your WSA plan from the list.

  4. Click on the plan details to view the list of eligible categories and items.

This method ensures you have the most accurate and up-to-date information directly from the app.

What if Computers or Laptops Are Not Listed?

If computers or laptops are not on your WSA plan's eligibility list, they are not covered for reimbursement under the current setup. However, there is an option for your Plan Administrator to adjust the plan settings and add these items to the list of eligible WSA expenses, if appropriate. You can contact your internal Plan Administrator for additional support in modifying the plan details.
