Terminating a Company account within your myHSA Advisor portal is a straightforward and efficient process. Whether the termination is planned with a run-off period or needs to be immediate, the process can be managed directly through the client's profile settings. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process:
Step-by-Step Guide to Terminating a Company/Client Account
Access the Clients Tab:
Select the Company:
Find the company whose account needs to be terminated. Click on the company name to open their profile. This will take you to the detailed view where you can manage all aspects of the company’s myHSA settings.
Navigate to Access Settings:
In the company’s profile, scroll to the bottom where you will find the Access Settings section. This area allows you to manage and modify the access rights and settings for the company and its employees.
Terminate the Company:
Within the Access Settings, look for the option to terminate the company. Here, you will have the ability to:
Enter Termination Date and Run-off Period: Specify the termination date and any applicable run-off period during which the company and it's employees can still access the account before it is fully deactivated.
Click on the field to input the specific date when the termination should take effect. Ensure that this date aligns with the company’s policies and any prior agreements made with their employees.
Input the run-off period duration. This period allows the company and its employees to finalize any outstanding claims or necessary account activities before full termination.
Once you have entered the termination date and grace period, confirm your entries and save the changes. The system will now schedule the termination according to the specified parameters.
Immediate Termination: If you need to terminate the company’s account immediately, you can simply click the "Delete Company" button. This action will immediately deactivate the company’s account without any run-off period.
