Traditional Healing Practices: Recognizing the importance of tradition, myFlexplan allows Indigenous employees to allocate funds to their WSA for Cultural Supports such as:

  • Coverage for consultations with traditional healers and elders.

  • Inclusion of costs for traditional herbal remedies and medicines.

  • Cultural Lessons/Training (including Language revitalization)

  • Traditional Healing Ceremonies such as sweat lodges, smudging, and talking circles

  • Cultural artifacts and artwork, home décor, Regalia, Jewelry, etc

  • Alternative Medicines such as Tobacco, Herbs, and Teas etc.

  • Membership fees for Indigenous Organizations

  • Travel expenses to attend Cultural Events

  • Learning Materials such as books, cultural literature, online courses etc.

  • Outdoor Equipment such as canoes, fishing gear, camping supplies etc.

  • Cultural Event Tickets

  • Traditional Music or Dance Lessons


Mental Health and Wellness: Ensuring access to culturally sensitive mental health support is crucial. myFlexplan's HSA provides coverage for:

  • Counseling and Therapy: Access to licensed mental health professionals, including those specializing in Indigenous topics and trauma.

  • Support Groups: Funding for participation in support groups facilitated by mental health practitioners that focus on Indigenous mental health and well-being.


Health and Wellness Programs: Encouraging overall well-being through various health initiatives, a myFlexplan can cover:
