How to create a job type for your replenishment process.

If you don't want to manually create each replenishment job required for your warehouse, it is essential to create a job type, then set up wave rules to complete the automation process. This step-by-step guide will explain how to create a job type customized to your replenishment operations.


Step-by-Step Guide

  • First, navigate to the Job Types screen.

    • If you cannot locate the screen, please use the Search Option on the menu bar.

  • Click Create New Job Type on the upper right side of the screen.

  • Choose the Replenishment option.

General

  • Enter values for the required fields. Explanations for the fields are below.

Field

Description

Name*

Type the name for this job type. Required field.

Warehouse*

Select the warehouse using this job type. Required field.

Replenishment Algorithm

Select the Replenishment Algorithm you wish to use with this job type.

Description*

Type a longer name/description for this job type. Required field.

  • Once you've filled in the required fields, click Next.

Settings

  • From the Settings tab, set the parameters for this replenishment job type based on your needs. The available options are explained below.

Field

Description

Batch Size

Refers to the Number of Products in a job for Dynamic Replenishment.

Refers to the Number of Locations in a job for Static Replenishment.

Allow Exceed Task Quantity

When enabled, allows the user to select more items than the planned quantity, based on a percentage.

Exceeding Percent %

The percentage defining how much above planned quantity a picker can pick. Related to the above toggle.

Update Task Quantity If Less Picked

When enabled, if the user selects a quantity less than what was planned, the task will be completed with the amount chosen.

Replenishment Flow

Pick & Put / Direct Put

When Pick & Put is enabled, a put job will be created after completing the pick job.

When Direct Put is enabled, the pick and put process will be fulfilled within a single job.

Pick Full Pallet If Contains Single SKU

When enabled, only LPs with a single SKU are included in the job.

Pick Full Pack

When enabled, the job will only consist of full packs.

Zone Based Replenishment

When enabled, the job will be created based on the zones of the locations.

Location Group Based Replenishment

When enabled, the job will be created based on the groups of the locations.

Only Replenish Full LPs

When enabled, only full LPs will be created within the job.

Allow Scanning Another Put Location

When enabled, allows users to put items into another location.

Allow Suggest Another

When enabled, allows the system to suggest a different location to put to.

Replenishment Type

Dynamic / Static

When dynamic is enabled, this replenishment type dynamically adjusts based on real-time open orders and replenishment levels.

When static is enabled, product/LP capacities need to be predefined for specific locations.

  • Once you've made the necessary selections, click the Next button to proceed to the Conditions section.

Conditions

  • In this section, you can add criteria for triggering this job type based on Target Locations, Source Locations, LPs and Products. All fields in this section are optional.

  • For example, if you need jobs to be created only for source locations that are in a specific location group, you would do the following:

    • Click Add Condition under Source Location Conditions

    • Click Location Group.

    • Select the specific location group(s) from the available options.

    • Click Add Filter.

  • If you've added filters, you can easily view the details by hovering over them and remove them by clicking the X icon.

  • Click Next. Grouping is only available for Picking job types. To complete job type creation, click Save.

  • Once the job type has saved, you will be returned to the Job Types page. You can now view your new job type.
