Creating locations is a vital step in your warehouse setup. Follow the steps below to manually create a location from scratch.
Step-by-Step Guide
To begin, navigate to the Location screen.
Select Create Location from the upper right to continue with manual creation.
Information
The Information section will load. In this section, Location Code and Warehouse are required fields. There are a number of additional fields you can fill in to better track the design of your locations. See the tables below for field definitions.

Dimension Unit | Unit for the length, width, and height of the location. |

Cell Display Member | An automatically generated alternative code used for Cells on Mobile Carts. |
Location Barcode | Used as an alternative to the Location Code to prevent manual entering of location codes rather than scanning. Learn more here. |

Only 1 LP | Only one type of LP is allowed for this location. |

After entering the required information, you can click Next to move on to the Product Capacity section.
Product Capacity
To keep your operations running smoothly, it's important to have the product capacity in your locations defined accurately. Adding Product Capacity to your warehouse locations can be done once you have products set up in Logiwa. If you haven't set up a product yet, you can learn more here.
Setting a product capacity to a location impacts the system in the following ways:
Replenishment tasks for the LPs will be created by regarding product capacity that is defined to the target locations.
The putaway algorithm suggests target locations by regarding the product capacity if it's set as an action.
Click the Add Capacity button.
The Add Product Capacity pop-up will open. Select the relevant Client to display the additional fields, which are defined below the screenshot.
Field | Description |
Product* | Searchable field that will show the products you've added to Logiwa. Begin typing to see options. Required field. |
Pack Type* | Automatically defined once you select your product. Required field. |
Min Volume | The minimum volume of the selected product for this location |
Max Volume | The maximum volume of the selected product for this location. |
Min Qty | The minimum quantity of the selected product for this location. |
Max Qty | The maximum quantity of the selected product for this location. |
Replenishment Threshold (Quantity) | Numerical threshold that indicates when product will need replenishment. |
Once you've added the necessary information, click Save to continue.
You can continue to add product capacity to this location via the same method, or click the 3-Dot menu and select Edit/Delete to make changes.
Click Next to move to add LP Capacity.
LP Capacity
The LP Capacity section can be used to define different capacities between predefined LP types and your locations.
Before setting a location's LP capacity, you'll need to have LP Types created for your warehouse. Learn more here.
In addition, setting an LP capacity to a location impacts the system in the ways below:

To begin, click the Add Capacity button.
A pop-will will load with a number of fields, defined below:
Field | Description |
LP Type* | Dropdown that lists the LP types you've added to Logiwa. Choose one. Required. |
Min Volume | The minimum volume of the LP for this location. |
Max Volume | The maximum volume of the LP for this location. |
Min Qty | The minimum quantity of the LP for this location. |
Max Qty | The maximum quantity of the LP for this location. |
Replenishment Threshold | Numerical threshold that indicates when the LP will need replenishment. |
Assign Product for this LP | This section assigns a specific product to the selected LP, so only that product can be stored on the LP.

Once you've entered the necessary information, click Save.
You can now view your added LP. You can continue adding LP capacity with the Add Capacity button, or use the 3-Dot menu to Edit/Delete LP capacity.
From the LP Capacity section, you can now click Save at the bottom of the sidebar to create your new location.
You will receive a confirmation message once the location has been saved successfully.
