Device recommendations and how to download the Logiwa mobile application.

To use the Logiwa mobile app, you'll want to make sure you have a device with an operating system and version that we support, along with an appropriately sized screen. We supply both Android and IOS apps and distribute them with different methods.

In order to benefit from all the features of the Logiwa application in the best way, we recommend that you always keep your mobile app in the most up-to-date version.

Android

Device Recommendations

The Logiwa mobile app works with a variety of devices. There are thousands of devices that run Android OS, so we can't list all the possible options, but these general recommendations can give you a starting point.

  • OS: Android OS version 5.1 and up

  • Screen Dimension: Over 5 inches (12.7 cm)

  • Recommended Mobile Computers/Scanner Types: Zebra TCx, Honeywell Dolphin CTx, Chainway Cx

How to Download & Install the Logiwa IO Android App

Users can install the Logiwa IO Android app by downloading the APK from specific links, depending on their environment:

Installation Steps

  1. Visit the appropriate download link based on your environment.

  2. Download the APK file to your device.

  3. Open the APK file and follow the on-screen installation prompts.

  4. Confirm installation when prompted by Android security settings.

  5. Click Open to launch the Logiwa IO app.

Note: Depending on your device’s security settings, you may need to enable "Install from Unknown Sources." Follow your device’s instructions to allow this if prompted.

Organizations may also distribute and install the app using Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for enterprise-wide deployment.

App Update Process

The Logiwa IO Android app automatically checks for updates every time it is launched.

Update Notification & Options

If a newer version is available, users will see a popup prompting them to update. The popup provides two options:

  • Update Now: Downloads and installs the latest version automatically.

  • Remind Me Later: Allows the user to continue using the app, but the update prompt will appear again the next time the app is launched.

Additional Confirmation Prompts

  • Android may display additional security pop-ups if relevant permissions have not been granted previously.

  • Users should allow necessary permissions to ensure a seamless update experience.

MDM Support for Updates

Organizations utilizing Mobile Device Management (MDM) can seamlessly deploy updates across multiple devices without requiring manual intervention.

IOS (Apple)

Device Recommendations

iPhone/iPad: Requires iOS 15.0 or later.

Mac: Requires macOS 12.0 or later and a Mac with Apple M1 chip or later.

How to Download & Install the Logiwa IO iOS App

Users can install the Logiwa IO iOS app via the following Apple App Store link:

  • Sandbox Version: Requires installation from store.logiwa.com using the related credentials. Please contact Logiwa Support for the credentials.

Sandbox Installation Steps

  1. Enter the provided credentials

  2. Download and install the app

  3. Enable Developer Mode (see the section below)

Enable Developer Mode Directly on an iOS Device

  1. Install the Logiwa IO Mobile app following the steps above.

  2. Open the app, and a pop-up will ask you to enable Developer Mode. Press OK.

  3. Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Developer Mode and enable the toggle.

  4. Restart your device when prompted.

  5. After restarting, unlock your device, press Turn On, and enter your device’s passcode when prompted.

Enable Developer Mode via Mac & Xcode

This method can be used if the Developer Mode option is not visible in the settings. Note: Xcode must be installed on the Mac device before following the steps below. This method does not require installing the Logiwa IO Mobile App first.

  1. Connect your iOS device to a Mac using a USB cable. Press Trust on your iOS device when the "Trust This Computer?" alert is prompted.

  2. Open Xcode, then navigate to Window > Devices and Simulators. Under Devices, you'll see a warning "Previous preparation error: Developer Mode disabled" with instructions on enabling Developer Mode on the iOS device.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to enable Developer Mode.

  4. On your iOS device, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Developer Mode and enable it.

  5. Restart your device and confirm activation.

  6. After the device restarts, unlock your device. A system pop-up should appear. Press Turn On, and enter your device's passcode when prompted.

Developer Mode is now enabled. You can now install and use the Logiwa IO Mobile App. You can turn off Developer Mode at any time. However, you'll need to repeat this same process to reenable it.

Enable Developer Mode via TenorShare ICareFone

  1. Download and install ICareFone for Mac or Windows. TenorShare ICareFone.

  2. Connect your iOS device via USB cable.

  3. Open ICareFone, click Developer Mode, and select Open.

  4. Developer Mode will now be available in Privacy & Security on your iOS device.

App Update Process

The Logiwa IO Mobile app automatically checks for updates every time it is launched.

Update Notification & Options

  • Production (Prod): Clicking "Update Now" redirects users to the App Store.

  • Sandbox: Clicking "Update Now" redirects users to store.logiwa.com.

  • If auto-update is enabled, the app may have already been updated in the background.

  • The update prompt only appears if a newer version is available.

MDM Support for Updates

Organizations utilizing Mobile Device Management (MDM) can seamlessly deploy updates across multiple devices without requiring manual intervention.
