Once you’ve created a rotation plan, you can use it throughout the season to check today’s grazing targets and compare what is actually happening on farm against the plan.
You can also share a read-only version of the plan with your team or adviser, or export it as a CSV or PDF.
Before you start
You need an existing rotation plan. If you haven’t made one yet, see How do I create a rotation plan?
Handy Tip! You need Full Access or Authorised permission to edit a rotation plan.
Find your plan
Click Foresight.
Click Rotation Planner.
Use All, Active, Upcoming or Historical, or the search box, to find the plan.
Click the plan to open it.
Check today’s targets
While the plan is active, Today’s Snapshot shows:
today’s planned round length
the area to feed today
any area excluded from the rotation
which day of the plan you’re on
Below this, Trev shows Average Area Fed / Day, Target Area Fed / Day and Daily Range.
Compare your plan with what’s happening on farm
The Rotation Projection chart shows your planned round length and planned area fed per day. As completed reporting comes into Trev, your actual round length and actual area offered appear against the plan so you can see how closely the farm is tracking.
Switch between Daily and Weekly to change the level of detail.
The table below the chart shows each day’s round length, excluded hectares, effective hectares, area fed per day and cumulative area fed.
Update your plan
Click Edit Plan.
Change your rotation settings or exclusions.
Click Save Rotation Plan.
Trev recalculates the projection using your updated settings.
Share your rotation plan
Click the Share icon at the top of the plan.

Copy the Shareable Link, or enter an email address under Send via Email.
Add a message if needed.
Click Send.
Handy Tip! Anyone with the shareable link can view the plan without logging in to Trev, so only share it with people you’re comfortable giving access to the plan. The shared plan is read-only. Updates you make are shown the next time the shared plan is opened.
Export your plan
Click the Download icon and choose Export CSV or Export PDF.
Troubleshooting
Why aren’t there any actual results on my chart?
Actuals are added to the chart from your completed Trev reports. If reporting for the dates in your rotation plan hasn’t been completed yet, you’ll only see the planned figures. Once those reports are completed, the actual round length and area offered will appear on the chart.
Why can’t I see Today’s Snapshot?
Today’s Snapshot is only shown for a plan that is currently underway. If the plan hasn’t started yet, or its end date has passed, the snapshot won’t appear.
