If ‘Auto Ageing’ is enabled, this means Trev will automatically age your closing numbers into the next livestock class at the point of season rollover for you. This is done by creating a series of automated “class change” events for the relevant stock classes on the final day of the season.

A few things to know about these automated events:

  • These will be created as Class Change Out and Class Change In events (these will always be created in equal-but-opposite pairs)

  • These events will be created on the final day of the season (for many farms this is 31 May).

  • These events will be read only

  • These events will be marked with a calculator icon to denote that it was automatically created by Trev

  • These events will contain automated text in the Notes field that outline the nature of this automated event

Example A - in this basic example 100 Heifer Calves are automatically aged up at season rollover. This creates two equal-but-opposite Class Change events.

Example B - in this example 150 Heifer Calves, 120 R1 Heifers and 100 R2 Heifers are automatically aged up at season rollover. This creates a series of three pairs of equal-but-opposite Class Change events.

The table below outlines what stock classes will age into if Auto Ageing is enabled:
