Tags in Narify, or topic tags, help track and organize the content your organization plan to share and shares. By defining a set of strategic topics, you can ensure content stays aligned with your business priorities, while also improving your ability to analyze what’s working – or not. Clear tags also helps team members know what to focus on when creating content.
Create tags for your organization
Go to Settings > Tags
(Only users with Admin and Ghost role can create or manage tags.)
Click the “Add new tag” button
Give the tag a name, keep it short, concrete and strategic like “Employer branding” or “Sales tips”, "Products and services" etc..
Describe the tag under "Description" so your team understands why and when to use this tag. You can do this in three ways: either write your own description, write a few keywords what the tag is about and then hit the magic wand button to generate the description or just click the magic wand button and adjust to your liking – or not.
Choose a color: Pick a tag color to make it stand out on the dashboard for assigned slots, in member view in Teams page to show who writes about what or in the Schedule/Plan page, to show what planned posts should be about.
Edit tags
Go to Settings > Tags
To edit a tag, click the pen icon. From there, you can update the name, adjust the description, or choose a different color.
Don’t forget to save your changes.
Using tags and why it matters
Different topic tags can be assigned to different users in Member settings or from Teams page in the members list.
We recommend that each member has 3 professional topic tags + "Personality" as a standard tag. This is a tag ambassadors use on more personal posts, maybe in combination with their profession – show who you are as a colleague/client/supplier.
Other reason to spend some time creating good topic tags:
✅ Help your team choose topics more easily
Tags act as a guide. When writing posts, users can see what’s important and choose relevant themes to focus on, especially useful for newer contributors.
✅ Keep content aligned with business goals
Strategic tags reflect your company’s core topics (like leadership, culture, product updates), helping ensure that content supports larger messaging goals.
✅ Track topic performance
Tag usage allows admins and team leaders to measure which topics get the most engagement, helping refine strategy based on real data.
✅ Create variable content and avoid off-brand topics
Divide the topic tags across teams and members to ensure variable content, and consistent topics content creation. Also, keeps focus on on-brand topics.
