Whether you need the Nearo Desktop App depends on your role and which connection method you are using.
Guests joining a Nearo Room
If you are joining a Nearo Room as a guest, you can join using any modern web browser — no account, login, or app download is required.
Browser-based joining works on:
Computers (Mac or Windows)
Chromebooks
iPads and other tablets
Phones (iOS or Android)
Your host will send you a Room link to use when joining.
Room hosts
Hosting a Room requires the Nearo Desktop App installed on a Mac or Windows computer.
Open the Desktop App and click Open Room to start your Room.
The Desktop App is not available for phones, tablets, iPads, or Chromebooks.

Call participants
Using Calls requires the Nearo Desktop App installed on a Mac or Windows computer. Both participants must have the app installed and a Nearo account.
