Key Steps

1. Assign a Dedicated Phone Number

  • Go to the upper right corner of the interface.

  • Navigate to the 'Integrations' section.

  • Purchase a dedicated phone number for your agent, ensuring it has an area code.

  • Confirm the purchase and wait for the status to change from 'pending' to 'active'.

  • Ensure the number is enabled for both inbound and outbound calls.

2. Create a New Agent

  • Navigate to the 'Agents' section.

  • Click on 'Create New Agent'.

  • Name the agent (e.g., 'Kenny').

  • Select 'My Own Phone Number' and choose the number you just purchased.

3. Configure Agent Settings

  • Click on the newly created agent.

  • Set up parameters such as language, voice, and fine-tune the prompt.

  • Ensure the dedicated phone number is connected to the agent.

4. Publish the Agent

  • Click on 'Publish' to activate the agent.

  • The agent will now be able to receive phone calls and respond accordingly.

5. Attach a Number to an Existing Agent (if needed)

  • If you need to attach a number to an already created agent, go to the 'Advanced' section.

  • Select the appropriate number to connect it to the agent.

6. Verify Phone Number Connection

  • Return to the 'Phone Numbers' section.

  • Check which phone number is connected to each agent to ensure proper setup.

Cautionary Notes

  • Each inbound agent must have a dedicated phone number to avoid confusion and ensure proper call handling.

  • Double-check that the number is active before publishing the agent.

Tips for Efficiency

  • Consider purchasing multiple numbers in advance if you plan to create multiple agents.

  • Regularly review agent settings and phone number connections to maintain optimal performance.
