Once your Will has been properly signed (and notarized, if required), it’s important to store it safely to ensure it’s accessible when needed, but protected from damage, loss, or tampering.
Best Places to Store Your Original Will
The original, signed paper copy of your Will is what the probate court will use to carry out your wishes. Recommended storage options include:
A fireproof and waterproof home safe
A locked filing cabinet in your home or office
A safe deposit box (if someone you trust has access)
With a trusted Executor, if permitted
Important: If your Will is stored in a secure location (like a safe or box with a key or code), make sure someone you trust, such as your spouse, adult child, or Executor, knows how to access it.
What About Digital Copies?

Keep a backup version in case the paper copy is damaged or lost
Easily re-download your document at any time
You may also upload a scanned version of your signed Will by:

Tell Someone You Trust
Your Will is only useful if it can be found. Let your Executor or a trusted family member know:
Where your original Will is stored

That a digital copy is available in your NetLaw account
