What are Custom Fields?

Custom Fields are supplementary intake fields for your waitlist.

These fields appear when adding a guest to the waitlist, or when they join the wait from Self Check-in (if you have that feature turned on). We offer a wide variety of field types to meet your data needs.

  1. Navigate to the Custom Fields page.

  2. You'll see a list of all existing Custom Fields. Click the New Custom Field button at the bottom of the list.

  3. An Add Custom Field form will appear. Fill this form out with your preferred settings.

    • Field Name* - What you'd like to call this field, i.e. "Date of Birth".

    • Field Type - What kind of field this is. Depending on what type you select, the form may require you to fill out additional fields.

    • Field Icon - Optional emoji to help you identify this field.

    • Field Display Visibility - Define if you want this field to appear in the Staff Intake form, Self Check-in, or both (all).

    • Is Required - Turn this on if you want to make this a required filling field when adding a guest to the waitlist.

    • Enabled Queues - If this custom field only applies to certain queues, select them here. If it applies to all Queues, leave this blank.

  4. Click the Create button at the bottom of the form to save your new custom field.

Deleting a Custom Field

  1. Navigate to the Custom Fields page.

  2. You'll see a list of all existing custom fields. Click the More Icon (...) to the right of the field you want to change, then click Delete from the list of options.

  3. A pop up will appear asking you to confirm you'd like to delete the field. Click the Confirm button. If you delete a field, it's gone. You do not have the option to reactivate.

  4. Your field will now be deleted and will not appear on any corresponding forms. It may still show up in historic data reports.
