What are Custom Fields?
Custom Fields are supplementary intake fields for your waitlist.
These fields appear when adding a guest to the waitlist, or when they join the wait from Self Check-in (if you have that feature turned on). We offer a wide variety of field types to meet your data needs.
Navigate to the Custom Fields page.
You'll see a list of all existing Custom Fields. Click the New Custom Field button at the bottom of the list.
An Add Custom Field form will appear. Fill this form out with your preferred settings.
Field Name* - What you'd like to call this field, i.e. "Date of Birth".
Field Type - What kind of field this is. Depending on what type you select, the form may require you to fill out additional fields.
Field Icon - Optional emoji to help you identify this field.
Field Display Visibility - Define if you want this field to appear in the Staff Intake form, Self Check-in, or both (all).
Guest Types - Choose who sees this field
All means every time a guest is entered, the field is shown
New means only new guests and unrecognized phone numbers will see this field
Returning means only repeat guests and recognized phone numbers will see this field
Is Required - Turn this on if you want to make this a required filling field when adding a guest to the waitlist.
Enable Quick Editing - toggle this on to surface this field on the guest's row of the main waitlist, so you can quickly edit without having to click into the guest details. Below are the current limitations of this feature:
You can enable Quick Editing for 'Short Text' and 'Number Input' field Types only.
You are only able to enable Quick Editing for a Custom Field that's applied to one unique Queue (see below Enabled Queues). One Custom Field's Quick Editing can be enabled for multiple Queues, but you will not be able to enable Quick Editing on another Custom Field if a different Custom Field is already enabled onto the same Queue (the resulting outcome is that you can only effectively have one Custom Field Quick Editing enabled on a guest's row in the waitlist, in order to avoid overcrowding)
Allow Repeat Guests to Edit Past Info - for field information previously collected already for repeat guests, toggle this on if you want to give them the ability to update the details for the specific field on subsequent visits.
Enabled Queues - If this custom field only applies to certain queues, select them here. If it applies to all Queues, leave this blank.
Click the Create button at the bottom of the form to save your new custom field.

Deleting a Custom Field
Navigate to the Custom Fields page.
You'll see a list of all existing custom fields. Click the More Icon (...) to the right of the field you want to change, then click Delete from the list of options.
A pop up will appear asking you to confirm you'd like to delete the field. Click the Confirm button. If you delete a field, it's gone. You do not have the option to reactivate.
Your field will now be deleted and will not appear on any corresponding forms. It may still show up in historic data reports.
