Viewing & completing custom profile fields

To view or complete Custom Profile Fields (CPFs) on a candidate's profile, first select a candidate to open their quick view. From there, scroll towards the middle of the page and you'll see Custom Fields under the notes section.

You can also view custom fields on the candidate's full profile by clicking the View Candidate's Full Application link at the top of the quick view and then navigating to the Custom Fields section.

From either the candidate quick view or full profile, users can input information into CPFs, so long as they have been granted “view & edit” permissions on the CPF (for more information on establishing CPF permissions, refer to “Creating or Editing Custom Profile Fields”).

CPF data validation

The type of information that can be entered into a CPF will vary depending on its Field Type:

  • Date: This field requires input in the form of a date, and can either be selected by the user with a date picker or typed in MM/DD/YYYY format.

  • Currency: This field accepts only numbers, which it displays in currency format

  • Select from list: Rather than adding their own input, users will select an input from a list specified by a Super Admin. The list can be searched by typing

  • Link: This field requires input in the form of a valid URL (you can use any domain name as long as there are at least 2 letters preceding and following the “.”)

  • Text: This field freely accepts input without formatting constraints

These formatting specifications ensure consistency in data entry.

As a reminder, information entered in CPFs can also be used to customize onboarding forms, like an offer letter. You can learn more about how to create forms or send forms in our help center!
