Using the Indiana Educator Talent Marketplace to find great candidates

This article describes how to use the Indiana Educator Talent Marketplace to proactively source candidates for your open roles.

Overview

We know how important it is for you to find great candidates for your organization. With the Indiana Educator Talent Marketplace, you can proactively pursue job-seekers who are open to work in your geographic area. Through the Talent Marketplace, Nimble shares a real-time directory of job seekers open to learning more about your positions so you can find the best candidates for your open roles.

Viewing job-seekers' talent profiles

To view job-seekers who have created profiles in the Indiana Educator Talent Marketplace, navigate to the “Prospects” tab on your Homepage and select “Talent Marketplace”.

You will see talent profiles for job-seekers whose geographic preferences match your organization’s location listed under Not Reviewed.

You can use the search bar to easily find job-seekers by name or email. In the list view, you can see the candidate’s name, years of experience, how many of your job categories they have selected in their preferences, days since their last login, and link to their profile.

To more easily view job-seekers whose qualifications meet the criteria for your open roles, navigate to the filters on the left side of your screen. Here, you can filter for credentials, years of experience, and preferences for school type, grade level, and job category. This will help you find the best candidates for your hiring needs more quickly and easily.

By clicking “View Profile,” you can learn more about a job-seeker. Here, you will see their credentials as well as their resume attachment. You can also expand their profile details to see their work history and preferences, including which of your job categories they are interested in and their geographic preferences.

It is important to note that in order for you to see candidates whose geographic preferences match your organization’s location, you should confirm that your school addresses are correct in the Nimble system. To do this, click on your name in the top right corner of your Homepage and select “Account,” where you can edit your organization’s schools and addresses. Refer here for more information on editing schools.

Making decisions about job-seekers

You can take action on a job-seeker from the list view or profile view by categorizing them as Not a Fit, Potential Fit, or Convert to Prospect. Once you’ve made a decision, the prospective candidate will be moved to the appropriate tab.

For example, if you have determined that Jaida Hall is Not a Fit for your organization based on their experience and preferences, you can select the red “x” either in the list view or on Jaida’s profile view. Now, Jaida will be moved to the Not a Fit tab, although you will still have access to their profile should any future openings align with Jaida’s experience and preferences.

If you have determined that Bianca James is a Potential Fit, you can select the orange question mark and Bianca will be moved to the Potential Fit tab. You can return back to the Potential Fit list at a later date if you decide you are interested in Bianca as a prospective candidate.

Finally, if Yen Nguyen’s experience and preferences are a strong fit for your organization, you can select the green checkmark and Yen will be moved to the Convert to Prospect tab where you can view all job-seekers you are interested in via the Convert to Prospect tab.

Taking the next step with prospects

Once you have identified the job-seekers you are most interested in from the Talent Marketplace, you can take further action by navigating to Prospects at the top of your screen and selecting “My Prospects.” If you already have Nimble's add-on Prospects module, you will be able to capture prospects from job fairs in the same place as the prospects from the Talent Marketplace. Here, you will see the full list of potential candidates that you have chosen to Convert to Prospect from the Talent Marketplace.

Select an individual prospect to view their profile. At the top under their email and phone number, you can change their status to track any contact you’ve made with them. You can also add relevant tags or attachments, monitor the activity feed, and write internal notes.

You can take bulk actions by returning to the list view and selecting multiple prospects. Here, you can change prospects’ statuses in bulk, email prospects in bulk to share more about your open roles, or export your prospect list.

Similar to Talent Marketplace, to more easily view your prospects, you can use the filters on the left side of your screen to sort by prospect status, source, and tags.
