How do I download the new nkoda app for iOS?
The update involves three simple steps:
❶ Update the nkoda app from the App Store
❷ Sign with your account or institution to access your profile
❸ Open your music and enjoy the all-in-one app
If you have used nkoda before, without logging in or signing up as an anonymous user, please follow the steps under the FAQ below: ‘What is an anonymous user?’ This will avoid you losing your data.
Why have you moved from two apps to one?
We have combined the library and reader iOS apps into one nkoda app for several reasons:
A simpler and cleaner user experience. We understand that having the nkoda library and the reader in one app is the simplest solution for musicians, and we want to help facilitate your performance, practice and teaching as seamlessly as possible.
We listened to your feedback and understood that combining the two apps into one was a key user request. The needs of musicians are at the heart of everything we do, and we’ll continue to put your feedback at the forefront of our work.
In one app, we can roll out developments and respond to product feedback faster and more efficiently than before.
Can I keep the old apps on my iOS device?
The new nkoda app replaces both the library app and the reader app, to be used as a single standalone app.
You will have received an email and a notification in the reader app to update to the new nkoda app from the Apple Store. After updating to the new nkoda app from the Apple Store, remove the nkoda reader app from your device*.
On the 31st May, there will be a force update to the new nkoda app, and the old apps will become obsolete.
*Please note: do not remove the reader app if you have uploaded any files without logging into nkoda. Follow the steps under the FAQ ‘What is an anonymous user?’ to avoid losing your data.
Will my account, uploads, and annotations be stored safely if I download the new app, and delete the nkoda music reader app?
