Institutional access via IP Range Authentication

If your Institution delivers access that is authenticated by the IP ranges of the campus, follow these steps.

Updated today

Step 1: Be on Campus or Use EZProxy

Ensure you’re connected to your institution’s network—typically by being on campus and connected to the campus Wi-Fi.

If your institution uses EZProxy, you can register remotely—just make sure the proxy is active before you begin.

Step 2: Use Your Institution’s Custom Registration Link

You must use the specific registration link provided by your institution. If you don’t have it, ask your librarian.

Do not attempt to register via nkoda’s main website—it won’t link your account to your institution.

Step 3: Create Your Account

  • Click the custom link.

  • On the landing page, click ‘Get Started’.

  • Fill out the form and click ‘Sign Up’.

Note: Sometimes your institution’s name may not appear right away. Wait a few seconds, or try clicking the link again.

Step 4: Confirm Institution Membership

Once signed up, you’ll be redirected to the Discover Page of nkoda. A banner will prompt you to confirm that you’re a member of your institution. Click ‘Confirm’ to finalise the link.

After this, you can access nkoda from anywhere—no need to repeat the process.

Step 5: Download the nkoda App

You’ll need the nkoda app to view content (the web version doesn’t support viewing scores).

  • In the web app, click ‘Download nkoda’.

  • After installing, click ‘Open in nkoda’ to launch the app.

Once linked, you can log in with your email and password—no need to use the custom link again.
