Follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1: Go to the nkoda Web App
Visit app.nkoda.com in your web browser.
Step 2: Start the Sign-Up Process
Click ‘Get Started’, then select ‘Sign up with Google.’
Step 3: Sign In with Your Institutional Email
Enter your institutional email address (e.g. yourname@university.edu) and your usual email password.
Step 4: Create or Link Your nkoda Account
You’ll be prompted to either:
Create a new nkoda account, or
Log into an existing one.
Make sure to use your institutional email in both cases to ensure proper linking.
Step 5: Confirm Your Institutional Membership
You’ll see a message asking you to “Continue as a member of [Your Institution].”
Click ‘Yes’ to confirm.
Step 6: Check for Confirmation Banner
You’ll land on the Discover Page, nkoda’s homepage.
At the top, a banner will confirm: “You are signed in as a member of [Your Institution].”
This indicates the authentication has been successful.
Step 7: Download the nkoda App to View Content
This is the nkoda web app. You can search the library and manage your account here, but you won’t be able to view any materials in the web app. This is to protect the copyright of the content we offer.
To view materials, you’ll need to download the nkoda app from your device’s app store.
When viewing a piece in the web app, click ‘Download nkoda’ to install the app.
After installation, clicking ‘Open in nkoda’ will launch the app automatically.
Everything available in the web app—searching, browsing, organising scores—is also available in the app.
Once signed up, you can use the app exclusively if that suits you better.
✅ You’re All Set
