Welcome to the ultimate guide for the Nobex Partners platform! This comprehensive manual is designed to help radio station owners and managers navigate the platform with ease and confidence. Whether you're setting up your station’s mobile app for the first time or looking to optimize your existing app, this guide covers everything you need to know.

From registering developer accounts to customizing your app’s appearance and integrating social media and podcast feeds, we’ve got you covered. Dive in to discover how Nobex Partners can help you create a captivating, user-friendly app that keeps your listeners engaged and coming back for more.

Developer Accounts Integration

To launch your app on the App Store or Google Play, you'll need a developer account with Google or Apple (or both if you want to reach listeners on both platforms). These accounts are crucial for making your app live and accessible to your radio audience.

Having your developer accounts ready before setting up your mobile app lets you take advantage of Nobex Partners' free 60-day trial. To join our two-month free trial program, you must have active Organization-level developer accounts with either Google, Apple, or both. These accounts are essential to fully benefit from the features and capabilities offered during the trial. If you don’t have these accounts yet, be sure to register for them before starting the trial.

If you don't have developer accounts yet, check out our additional guides on setting them up for the App Store and Google Play.

Basic Station Information

To create your radio dashboard, we need to gather some essential information about your radio station, such as the station’s name, slogan, location, and more. This data helps us integrate your station’s info into the Nobex database. The more information you provide, the better we can assist with your station's specific needs. Don’t worry if any details change later—you can always update your information. Simply contact us at staff@nobexinc.com to make any edits.

Stream URL

If your station is already live, having a working stream URL is essential for your future radio app to provide a livestream and gather data on listener interactions with your playlist. The link you provide should lead directly to the livestream audio file. Other links, such as your website URL or side player, won’t be compatible with our system.

Station Image

At this stage, you'll also need to provide us with your station logo, which will serve as the app logo in the future. The logo should have a 1:1 (square) proportion, and the recommended size is 512x512 pixels to ensure high-quality appearance for your listeners.

Pro-Tip

To maximize the appeal of your app, it's important to make it visually enticing for potential users. Take a look at the apps on your phone - notice that they typically have simple, bright logos with minimal or no text, focusing on the graphic part of their logo. Your listeners won't be able to read text on a small screen, so aim for a logo that is simple, recognizable, and aesthetically pleasing.

The next step involves selecting a dominant color for your app. This color will serve as the overlay for your app menu and will be visible to users in Light Mode. For your convenience, you can input the color as a color code or choose it from a color scheme that matches your logo branding. This ensures a cohesive and visually appealing app interface that aligns with your station's identity.

Social Media Integration

Connecting your station’s social media profiles enhances your app by incorporating their content directly into it. By linking your Facebook, Instagram, or X (Twitter) accounts, your app will feature a new “Activity” tab displaying all your posts. Connecting your YouTube account will add a “Videos” tab with similar functionality.

Additionally, you can integrate recent social media publications into your app’s homepage, making it easier for users to engage with your content. This feature helps keep your audience connected and updated with your latest activities and announcements.

On Demand RSS Feed

If your radio station hosts its own podcasts or republishes radio episodes, you can seamlessly integrate them into your app during the registration process. At this stage, you’ll need to provide your main On Demand Feed - you’ll be able to add more feeds and content later. For now, if you don't need to complete this step, simply skip it by pressing the Next button. For more details on adding On Demand content, refer to the Integration Manager.
