Content Studio: Brand Builder

App Details and Theme Color

Here, you can update your radio app's logo, title, tagline, and theme color to align with your refreshed branding or correct any errors that may have occurred during registration. This ensures your app stays current and visually appealing to your listeners.

Application Splash Screen

By default, when your app launches on a user's device, it will display a square logo as the loading screen. However, if you want a more aesthetic and brand-aligned experience, you can upload a vertical image with dimensions of 1242x2208. Be sure to consider the safe zone guidelines provided in this section to create an appealing splash screen for your users.

Content Studio: Content Builder

In this area, you can customize everything that appears on your app's homepage:

Your homepage will feature various custom sections with tiles that redirect users to specific media. Start by clicking the Add Section button to open the Section Settings menu. Here, you’ll need to add a title for your new section and specify the number of tiles per row: 1 Tile per row (1040x650), 2 Tiles per row (330x200), or 3-4 Tiles per row (330x330).

Next, choose the type of tiles for this section from the following options:

  • Facebook / X (Twitter) / YouTube / Instagram: This will display the latest media from your chosen social media platforms. Note that these tiles update whenever you post new content. Ensure your dashboard is connected to the correct social media profiles before your app goes live.

  • Main Podcast: This section will feature the latest podcasts from your main On Demand RSS feed or those added manually through the On Demand dashboard tab.

  • In App Link / External App Link: Add tiles linked to web pages, such as your website, articles, weather forecasts, or relevant content. Forms, live requests, and audio stories created within the dashboard can also be added here.

  • Live Audio Stream: This allows you to include multiple audio streams in your app, useful for stations with different broadcasts based on topics or regions, or for promoting other stations' streams.

  • Audio Collection: Tiles in this section will represent different podcasts or playlists added through the Integration Manager dashboard tab. Tapping a tile will take users to a page where they can listen to each piece of audio from that podcast or playlist.

  • Audio Track: Attach tiles to specific audio files using web links.

  • RSS Feed: Similar to the Main Podcast, but allows selection from any RSS feeds added via the Integration Manager dashboard tab.

Once you’ve set up the section type, hit the Save button. The new section tab will appear in the Content Builder, where you can edit, remove, or reorganize it, and most importantly, add tiles. Don’t forget to press the Save Changes button anytime you make major changes!

Different sections require different sets of information. For example, Facebook or Main Podcast sections automatically add the latest content, while In App Link or Live Audio Stream sections require titles, descriptions, web page or audio file links, and tile icon images.

Pro-Tip

If you’re confused about how to add links to your images, try using free image hosting services like imgbb.com that are capable of storing your content and providing you with the web links.

Feed Hub: Integration Manager

Social Media

This section allows you to add or update your YouTube and social media connections that you may have missed during the registration process. Some platforms, like Facebook, require periodic updates, so you’ll need to extend the connection every 60 days.

Primary On Demand Content Feed

This field will include the On Demand content that you set up in the On Demand dashboard section. You can also add any other RSS Feed if you have any to automatically incorporate all your existing podcast content into the system, streamlining your workflow.

Specialty Feeds Hub

If you have other On Demand content types, such as different shows or podcasts, you can add their feeds here and later implement them on your homepage through the Content Builder.

You can add content from various sources:

  • Nobex Collection: Use this if you already have content in the Dashboard On Demand section.

  • RSS Collection: Add a specific RSS feed for your show.

  • SoundCloud Collection: Integrate your podcast as a playlist from your SoundCloud profile.

For each show or podcast series, you'll need to create an Alias name to make it easier to attach within the homepage.

Pro-Tip

Having various On Demand feeds will be extremely useful if you decide to attach them to your app Home Page through the Content Builder. You’ll be able to make special tiles for each of the shows that will open a unique library for the particular specialty feed.

Program Schedule

If your radio station broadcasts specific shows regularly, this section allows you to create a timetable for all your weekly radio events. Your app will feature a new Shows tab with a schedule, enabling you to notify listeners about upcoming episodes.

Audio Stories

If your radio station publishes podcast transcripts, textual notes for listeners, or has a news feed on its website, this tab is where you can create engaging in-app blog posts or articles. These posts can include text, visuals, links, and audio files—whether it's a radio recording or background music for reading.

Playlist

In this section, you can review the songs recently played on your radio broadcast and make adjustments for future airings. You'll have the flexibility to modify image covers if your playlist metadata includes multiple versions.

Knowledge Center

To use this feature, your stream URL must contain playlist metadata with information on what audio tracks have been broadcasted. Learn more by reading this information.

On Demand

If your radio station doesn't have an On-Demand RSS Feed from other sources, you can publish your podcasts and shows directly from your dashboard! To begin, click Start Adding Items.

When adding an episode, you'll need to provide: Title, Description, Publication Date, Audio File, Square Thumbnail (at least 300x300 in size)

If you plan to publish multiple shows, you can assign your episodes to specific playlists. After adding your first episode, click the Manage Shows button in the top right corner to enter details for particular playlists, allowing you to organize your existing and future episodes into specific feeds.

Don’t forget to switch your feed to online mode to make your content live in your app!

As your library of shows grows, you can easily search for specific episodes by title or use Advanced Tools to filter episodes by show title, length, or number of listeners. Additionally, if you want to integrate your On Demand content with other platforms, click On Demand RSS Feed at the top to access the RSS page or copy the share link of a particular episode to create its own webpage.
