What is the status of my transfer?

Transfer speeds vary! nsave-to-nsave is instant & free, external transfer normally takes a few working days. Check your app for the status!

Updated this week

Depending on the type of transfer and currency, the speed of your transfer may differ!

Transfers between nsave accounts are fast, very fast and will usually reflect within a few minutes. For external transfers, it generally takes 2-4 business days to reflect in your account, but can take longer especially if these are international transfers.

Transfer delays may happen when additional compliance checks are required. These checks are performed to ensure all transactions align with regulatory requirements and maintain security across financial platforms. While infrequent, they can result in short delays. Transfers generally proceed immediately after these checks are completed. Delays may also occur due to external factors such as payment network processing times (e.g., SWIFT, ACH) and compliance reviews by recipient banks. These factors are beyond our control but are essential to ensure secure and successful transactions.

Here’s a general guide to the different statuses of your transactions:

  • TRANSFER SUCCESSFUL: All went as planned and was sent and/or landed with the receivers' institution. Once the transfer is successful this does not always mean that it’s been received as the receiving institution might need to process it and could delay it! Reach out to them if that’s the case.

  • IN TRANSIT: Your transaction is on its way as expected! This stage may involve intermediary banks or processing by the recipient's financial institution. Receipt times depend on the transfer type and payment networks (e.g., SWIFT, ACH).

  • PROCESSING: We (or our payment partners) are running extra checks to ensure all necessary information is present and secure. This status may also indicate routine reviews by banking partners or financial institutions. While delays are generally temporary, you will get a notification on the app if more information is needed.

  • DECLINED: Your transaction could not be processed due to an invalid transaction type or merchant, insufficient funds, invalid account details, or unsupported card type. Ensure your transfer details and account information are correct to proceed.

  • CANCELLED: You’ve asked us to cancel a transaction, or unresolved issues required cancellation.

  • FAILED: This can happen due to a system error. You are advised to try again in a few minutes. If this issue persists, please contact our support team.

  • REFUNDED: You’ve asked us for a refund or a payment has been reversed. The transfer amount is returned to your account.

Steps to Take if Your Transfer is Stuck

1. For Transfers Marked "In Transit":

  • These transfers may still be processed by intermediary or recipient banks. Completion time varies by payment network (e.g., SWIFT, ACH) and the recipient’s bank.

  • Action Steps: Continue monitoring updates and contact the recipient’s bank if delays persist.

2. For Transfers Marked "Processing":

  • Nsave and banking partners may conduct compliance checks or require additional information.

  • Action Steps: Double-check all submitted information for errors and await process completion.
