If you can't find data from certain datasources when creating or editing a story, the reason may be at the Story, Group, or API level.

These are 4 possible scenarios:

1. Story level (Set-up Data): 'Show selected' filter active in Manage Datasources.

Datasources are in Group but not visible in Stories because 'Show selected' is ticked.

To learn to manage datasources on a Story level, see 'Selecting datasources for your Stories'.

2. Story level (Filters): The datasources are filtered out of your entire Story, or nugits within your Story.

To learn how to manage your Story-level filters, see β€˜How do I add filters to my story?’.

3. Group level: The datasources are in the Data Factory but not assigned to its relevant Group(s), so they cannot be added to Stories in that Group.

To learn how to group datasources, see 'What is the Data Factory and how do I use it?'.

4. API level: Account used to connect a media platform to Nugit has no access to specific datasources from media platform.

It is possible that your connected account is listed under 'Auth tokens' in Data Factory, but Nugit does not receive certain data from the API because the account does not have permission to the relevant datasources on the external platform (e.g. Google Analytics views, Facebook Ads ad accounts).

If your new, ungrouped datasources do not appear in Data Factory, this article will explain how to check what datasources are available from your auth tokens (i.e., third-party accounts connected to Nugit).

Only Admin users can create Groups and group datasources. Standard users can only access datasources in Groups they have access to. Click here to learn more about the difference between a Standard and Admin user.

Both Standard and Admin users can create integrations (connect accounts), but Standard users cannot view new datasources because datasources are not automatically grouped.

If you are a Standard user, ask an Admin user from your team or Nugit support to help group your datasources.

Step-by-step: How to check if datasources are linked to your account (Admin user):

  1. From the home screen, click the burger menu icon. Under Data, click 'Data Factory'.

  2. On the top menu, click 'Integrations'. Use search and filters to look for your account (auth token).

  3. Click 'View Datasources' in the rightmost column to see datasources linked to that account.

  4. If no datasources appear, your account may not have permission to access certain data.
