This integration allows users to create Data Sources using CSV Files and can be set up inside Nugit by Admins and Data Managers.

Watch the video or read the steps below to learn more about how to create your own custom CSV data source:

Create a new CSV data source

  1. You can access the CSV integration via the Add Integration button when you click on the + (plus) icon on the top right corner of your Nugit Homepage, next to your profile.

Alternatively, you can click on the burger icon on the top left corner of the Homepage and access the Integrations page.

Click on New Integration, then click on Connect on the CSV file icon to upload your file and create the CSV data source.

  2. On the settings page, you can name your CSV data source, assign them to the relevant group/s, and set the currency before you upload the CSV file.

  3. Upload the CSV file by either clicking anywhere inside the import box by dragging and dropping the CSV file. Please ensure that the file size is within the max file limit (300MB).

If you have uploaded the wrong file, simply click on the Remove button and re-upload the right file.

  4. Click on Next to view and set the field configuration.

The Field Configuration is where you decide which fields/columns to include in your data source and check through the corresponding field names and formats.

Learn more about various field configurations available for your CSV data source in this article.

  5. Once you’ve configured the different fields in your CSV file, hit Next and Start Import to import your CSV data source.

That’s it! Once finished, you can choose to add more data to your new CSV data source, create a new data source, or simply hit Done.

🚀 NEW FEATURE: ADDING DATA VIA EMAIL 🚀

You may now add data to your CSV Integrations via email. For more details, check out this article.

Having the correct data format will ensure that your data is clean and accurate for use in your stories.

Here are some guidelines to ensure that your CSV data is compatible for use in Nugit:

  1. Save your CSV file in CSV UTF-8 (Comma-delimited) (.csv) format.

  2. For more granular data that can be easily used and combined with other data sets in various stories, make sure to include the date column in your CSV.

  3. Check that the date column has only one date format applied to it to prevent data issues.

Check out this article for more information on how to format your CSV file.
