NetSuite Integration Instructions

Overview

Nuvo is a trade credit platform that streamlines customer onboarding, credit approvals, and proactive risk monitoring. Integrating NetSuite unlocks additional features designed to save time and improve decision-making:

  1. View credit insights from payment history data in NetSuite: Visualize every customer's credit utilization percentage, Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), A/R aging analytics, and more in one place.

  2. Push customer data to NetSuite: Automate the setup of customer accounts and avoid manual, time-consuming, and error-prone data entry.

  3. Sync payment terms & credit limits: Push updates to payment terms and credit limits from Nuvo's approval portal directly into the NetSuite customer record.

Integration Steps

Step One: Finding your NetSuite Account ID

  1. Log into your NetSuite portal.

  2. Copy the subdomain of the URL at the top of your browser and save it to enter into Nuvo's .

    • Your NetSuite Account ID is the combination of letters or numbers before "app.netsuite.com"

    • For example, if your URL is "https://7600508.app.netsuite.com/app/center/card.nl?sc=-29&whence=", the value to input into Nuvo is 7600508

Step Two: Enable Web Services and Required Features

These settings might already have been enabled, especially if you have other integrations. If that is the case, please leave them enabled.

  1. In your NetSuite account, go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.

    • You must be an Administrator of your Netsuite account to see this option.

  2. Under SuiteCloud, check the boxes next to SOAP Web Services, REST Web Services, and Token-Based Authentication.

  3. Under Accounting, ensure that the A/R feature is enabled.

Step Three: Install the Nuvo SuiteApp in NetSuite

  1. Go to the SuiteApp Marketplace.

  2. Search for Nuvo.

  3. Install Nuvo Trade Credit for NetSuite.

Step Four: Find the Internal ID of the Standard Customer Form

  1. Go to Customization > Forms > Entry Forms

  2. Find and click on the Standard Customer Form.

  3. Note down the Internal ID of the form, which will be copied to Nuvo in a later step. It could be part of the Custom Entry Form list, or part of the URL.

Step Five: Create Access Tokens

  1. Go to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Users.

  2. In Manage Users, either select a user to assign the Nuvo role to or create a new user.

    • To create a new user, go to Lists > Employees > Employees > New. Create the user and grant them NetSuite access by going to the Access tab in the Employee record and select 'Give Access'.

  3. In the user's employee record, click Edit and go to the Access tab. In your Access tab, go to Roles and add the Nuvo role.

  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

  5. Go to Setup > Users/Roles > Access Tokens > New.

  6. Select the Nuvo Trade Credit for NetSuite integration, the user you assigned the Nuvo role to, and the Nuvo role. Feel free to assign your preferred name to the token.

  7. Click Save. NetSuite will then display the Token ID and Token Secret. Copy them into Nuvo in the next step. Do not close the page as NetSuite will only show the tokens once.

Step Six: Find your NetSuite Subsidiary ID

  1. If you do not use NetSuite OneWorld and do not have multiple subsidiaries in NetSuite, you may skip this section

  2. In the NetSuite search bar, find the Subsidiaries page

  3. Find the subsidiary that corresponds to your company on Nuvo. Note down its internal ID, if visible

  4. If the internal IDs were not visible in step 3, you can get the internal ID of the subsidiary by clicking "View", and noting down the ID section of the URL, similar to the screenshot below

Step Seven: Enter the Access Tokens and IDs into Nuvo

  1. Under ERP, click Connect a New Account

  2. Enter your NetSuite Account ID, Token ID, Token Secret, Standard Customer Form internal ID, and subsidiary ID if applicable.
If using a Sandbox Account, please ensure the Account ID uses capital "SB" and "_" instead of "-". Example: "1234567-sb2" should be entered as "1234567_SB2"
