API - Application Programming Interface
API stands for Application Programming Interface. In the context of APIs, the word Application refers to any software with a distinct function. Interface can be thought of as a contract of service between two applications. This contract defines how the two communicate with each other using requests and responses.
Batch
A group of orders containing the same product line, packaged together for streamlined processing.
Billing
An invoice or financial statement that summarizes charges for one or more batches.
Certificate of Analysis (COA)
A formal, authenticated document issued by manufacturers or third-party labs confirming that a product meets its predetermined quality, safety, and regulatory specifications. It provides a snapshot of a product's purity, composition, and potency, often used for quality control in pharmaceuticals, food, and chemical industries
Carrier
The company that carries finished orders to their final destination. Carriers are separate entities from OK Capsule.
Carrier Service / Shipping Method
The chosen type of shipping method that finished orders will travel to their final destination with.
Cartridge
Inner-most shell that surrounds the rolled order pouches. This protects and guides the order roll to feed easily.
Client
A business partner that submits product orders for fulfillment.
Consumer / Customer
The end recipient of the supplements, typically the individual who placed the order.
Curated Packs
OK Capsule’s Doctor Formulated Packs that are available to every client.
Designs / Product Designs
The assets that make up a product line’s custom branded product.

Specific dielines must be followed, and all designs must be approved by OK Capsule before use.
Dispenser
The branded fluted packaging that contains the cartridge and rolled order pouches.
Dynamic Data
Information that is automatically pulled from an order or accounts to fill in a dynamic field.
Dynamic Field
A field that is mapped to a specific information type. I.e Consumer First Name.
Endpoint
For APIs, an endpoint can include a URL of a server or service. Each endpoint is the location from which APIs can access the resources they need to carry out their function. APIs work using 'requests' and 'responses.' When an API requests information from a web application or web server, it will receive a response.
Error Handling
Systematic responses to unexpected inputs or failures to ensure stability and inform the user appropriately.
Expedited Orders
Special request orders that will be packaged and shipped on the same day it reaches production.
Filtering and Sorting
Techniques for narrowing down or organizing large sets of results via query parameters.
Formulary
Is plural, supplement is single. Replace pouch with packet and pouches with packets.
Fulfillment
The end-to-end process of shipping, tracking, and delivering a product order.
Fulfillment material
Non-supplementmaterials used in creating the final product. I.e Pamphlets, Dispensers, Shippers, Labels.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) certification from SGS ensures the integrity of your food manufacturing process as well as your compliance with food safety regulations.
HIPAA Compliance
Security and privacy regulations specific to handling protected health information in the U.S.
Kitting
The bundling of 2+ order lines into a single shipment.
Like-for-Like Supplement Product
This term is a Product Swap term used to describe replacement supplements that are considered identical by our Quality review.
OKC Product
A specific supplement listed in the OKC catalog.
OpenAPI Documentation
A standardized way to describe REST APIs, enabling easier integration and testing.
Order
A request submitted by a consumer for one or more products.
Order Acceptance
The trigger that determines if a submitted order has been validated and is now in its first day of Production
Order Line
A subset within an order representing a group of products to be fulfilled together.
Order Statuses
Description of an order’s state or step within our process.
Order Submission Job
The automatic workflow that begins processing all valid Pending orders in the client portal and readying them to reach production.
Packet / Pouch
The individually sealed sections of an order that contain the supplement products.
Pack Builder Shopify App (Connection Tools)
A standalone or embedded application that integrates with Shopify to allow supplement customization and order fulfillment.
Pamphlet
The customizable booklet that contains FDA mandated supplement information and a product line / brand’s distributed by address.
Payment Method
The information dictating how charges are paid and received.
Personalized Packs
Packs customized and built specifically by the customer or for the customer.
Product Line / Brand
A client’s overarching marketing brand or category under which products are grouped.
Product Swaps
An event where a currently active product will be replaced with another. Product swaps will occur for various reasons including: product availability, better pricing, reformulations etc…
SFP (Supplement Facts Panel)
A dynamically generated label showing supplement contents, delivered via API.
Shipper
The outer box that encapsulates and protects the finished product and its components during its transit time.
Shopify Embedded App
An app that runs inside the Shopify Admin interface, providing seamless user experience.
SLA
Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a formal, often legally binding contract between a service provider and a customer that defines the expected level of service, including specific metrics like uptime, performance, and response times. It outlines responsibilities, quality standards, and remedies or penalties if these standards are not met.
SOP
SOPs or Standard Operating Procedures are a framework of our quality organization. SOPs are maintained by quality.
Static Data
Information that does not change without manual editing.
Supplement Products
The individual and unique pills that make up your packs.
User
An authorized individual—typically a client employee—who accesses the API or client portal. Users are authenticated and authorized to ensure secure interaction with client data and services.
User Roles and Permissions
Defines what different types of users can do within an application, essential for access control and security.
