There are a few key reasons why you might want—or need—to turn ticket sales on or off, even after your event is live. With flexible controls built right into your dashboard, you're always in the director’s seat when it comes to audience access and event timing.

👟Walk Through:

You can pause ticket sales on the Show Details page of your dashboard. Next, select the Performance List tab.

You can enable/disable ticket sales in the Sales Enabled column.

If you click the down arrow chicklet next to a specific performance date, you can disable the sale of individual ticket types.

🎓 Recap:

This article explains how to turn ticket sales on or off for an event using On The Stage. The process involves accessing the Show Details section in the dashboard, navigating to ticketing settings, and toggling the sales status. This feature allows organizers to control availability based on event needs.

🚀 Best Practices:

  • Set Clear Sales Windows: Define when ticket sales should start and end to manage expectations.

  • Monitor Ticket Availability: Regularly check sales progress to adjust marketing efforts if needed.

  • Use “Off” Strategically: Turn sales off to manage capacity, make updates, or prevent last-minute issues.

  • Communicate with Buyers: Announce when ticket sales open or close to avoid confusion.

  • Test Before Going Live: Ensure settings are correct to prevent unintended sales disruptions.
