The On-Sale date is the date you want tickets to be available for purchase. This also includes Presales.
For example: Presales for your performance start January 10th and end January 15th.
Sales for the General Public start on January 16th. In order for your tickets to be available for sale, you would set the On-Sale date to January 10th.
Only patrons with the Presale code will be able to purchase tickets from January 10th through January 16th.
The General Public will be able to purchase tickets beginning on January 16th.
Tickets need to be set to the Tickets Onsale position even for a presale code.
For a presale code to be activated you must also have set your On Sale Date to the day you would like for the Presale Code to be activated.
👟Walkthrough
Go to your Show Details page from your OTS Dashboard.
Scroll down the page to 'Onsale Details'.
Click on 'General Presale Code' to add or delete your code. You will be asked to enter presale details. When completed, push Save.
When a patron clicks on your site to buy tickets, they will see the following:
The patron enters the code you provide, and they are set to purchase tickets. Once the presale date ends your tickets will be available to the general public for purchase.
