Flexible Ticketing, Even After You Go Live
Your audience is diverse, and your ticketing should be just as dynamic. Whether you’re offering student discounts, VIP access, or promotional tickets, sometimes you need to fine-tune your pricing or add new options—even after your event has launched.
There are several reasons why you might want—or need—to add, edit, or limit ticket types after publishing your event. With On The Stage, you’re never locked in. From setting new price types to capping availability, you have the tools to manage your sales with confidence and control, ensuring every ticket fits both your audience and your strategy.
👟 Walk Through:
Adding a Price Type to a Published Event:
Under Show Details, scroll down to Performances and click Add Ticket Type.
You will be prompted to select Online or Walk-Up ticket types. You will name your ticket, add your price, select Reserved or General Admission, and then select the shows you would like the price to be added to.
Your new ticket type will appear under the performance you selected.
Editing and Limiting Sales by Ticket Type on a Published Event:
Once you publish your event, you will also be able to limit sales by ticket type. Click on the pencil next to the price type to open the editor. Additionally, On The Stage allows you to set maximum limits for each ticket type. For example, if you set the maximum limit for a ticket type to 15 tickets per time slot and adjust the overall capacity to 75 tickets, the system ensures that the ticket type respects the 15-per-slot limit while adhering to the overall total capacity. You can change:
Ticket Name
Price
Set a Sell Limit
Activate or Deactivate the price type
Make sure you SAVE YOUR CHANGES by clicking the check mark.
🎓 Recap of Adding, Editing, and Limiting Ticket Types After Publishing
On The Stage allows you to manage your ticket types even after publishing your event. You can add new ticket types, edit existing ones, and set limits on availability through the Show Details section under Ticket Details. However, changes will only apply to future ticket sales—previously sold tickets will not be affected. Be sure to review all updates to ensure a smooth experience for attendees. In addition to these features, you can adjust the total ticket capacity for your event through the Capacity Settings option in the Show Details section. Ensure that any adjustments made align with your ticket types and their individual limits to seamlessly manage availability.
