There are a few reasons why you might want to/need to add an optional message to your website on select show dates. This might be:
To share important details like cast information, age restrictions, parking instructions, or accessibility options before purchase.
To highlight special noticesâfor example, mask requirements, COVID-19 policies, or unique venue protocols.
To provide group or session-specific info, such as reminders for multi-session events or signage for camp groups.
To communicate sold-out statuses when seats are blocked, on hold, or reserved and are not reflected in the public ticket count.
đWalkthrough: Adding Messages to Specific Show Dates
Each show date has an Optional Event Message you can set on the Performance List tab.
Click on Details for your desired event to open the Show Details page.
Click on the Performance List tab. Click on the three dots in the Actions column, and select Event Message.
Enter the event message and push Save.
This is what the message looks like on the live ticketing page after publication:
Best Practices
Always double-check the event capacity and ticket availability settings to ensure accurate sold-out statuses.
Use clear and concise language in Event Messages to avoid patron confusion.
