👟Walk Through

To edit individual rows, begin by click on the row letter. This will bring up the row settings menu.

Rename a Row

Once you click on a row letter and open Row Settings, you can rename the row by editing the Seat Row Box.

Seat Spacing

To increase or decrease space between seats, move the red dot on the sliding bar.

When the red bar is centered, you have moderate spacing between seats.

When the red bar is moved to the left, spacing between seats will decrease.

When the red bar is moved to the right, spacing between seats will increase.

Seat Curvature

Seat curvature will add a curve to an individual seat. Moving the red dot on the slider will make the individual row curve upward.

Moving the red dot on the slider to the right will make the individua row curve downward.

Leaving the red dot in the center means there will be no curve to an individual row.

Seat Nudge

Nudging a row will move the entire row slightly to the left or the right.

Row Sequence

To change the seat numbers in an entire row, use this feature. This feature was used in row E. The first seat number was changed to 2, and each seat number increased by 2.

Rows A through D are still seats 1 - 5.

Delete a Row

  • Right Click on the Row Letter to delete a whole row.

    • Do Not click to individual seats to delete an entire row, this will cause you to have an error in the processing of the section.

🎓 Recap: Editing Individual Rows of Your Seating Chart

This article covers how to edit individual rows within your seating chart using On The Stage’s chart builder. You can add or remove seats by dragging handles on row edges, delete entire rows, reposition rows via drag-and-drop, and curve or align them as needed to mirror your venue layout precisely—giving you control over seating spacing, shape, and accuracy.

🚀 Best Practices for Editing Individual Rows

  1. Adjust seat count visually
Add or remove seats in a row using the corner handles so that the layout reflects actual venue capacity and sightlines.

  2. 🗑️ Delete rows cleanly
If a row becomes unnecessary, remove it entirely via the row-level delete option—avoid deleting individual seats to prevent layout errors.

  3. 🔄 Drag rows for precise placement
Reposition any row by clicking its center handle and moving it to the correct position within a section.

  4. 🌀 Curve rows with intention
Use the curvature control to shape rows upward or downward—this is particularly helpful for balanced arc formations or accommodating unusual stage orientations.

  5. Save and test your edits
After every row adjustment or layout tweak, save your chart and preview the user experience to ensure seating displays properly and behaves in the checkout flow.
