To optimize your Google Business Profile listing, you’ll need to complete Google’s verification process. Google may send a postcard with a PIN to your business address, or offer other methods such as phone, email, or video verification. This step is handled directly by Google to confirm that your business information is accurate and that the listed address is a real location

It’s extremely important that your information is correct online. Your clients count on the information they see online to help find your business.

How to Request Google Business Profile Verification

  1. Sign in to Google Business Profile

    • Go to Google Business Profile Manager and log in with the Google account you use for your business.

  2. Select Your Business

    • If you manage multiple locations, choose the one you want to verify.

  3. Click “Verify”

    • You’ll see a “Verify now” button if your profile isn’t verified yet.

  4. Choose a Verification Method

    • Postcard by mail: Google mails a postcard with a PIN to your business address (arrives in ~14 days).

    • Phone or text: Some businesses can receive a code by call or SMS.

    • Email: If your business email matches your domain, Google may send a code there.

    • Video verification: Google may ask you to record or join a live video call showing your location, signage, or workspace.
