If you already use a CRM or spreadsheet to collect your clients' contact information, bulk uploading is an easy way to add them to your OneLocal account. This process helps you quickly build your contact list and monitor your clients' sentiment over time
Preparing Your Spreadsheet
Organize Your Data
When creating your spreadsheet:
Add column labels in the first row
Ensure the spreadsheet includes each client's first name and at least one of the following: email address or phone number
Save as a CSV File
Save your spreadsheet in CSV format before proceeding
Uploading Contacts to LocalContacts
Step 1: Log In
Log in to your OneLocal account here
Click the LocalContacts tab on the left-hand menu
Step 2: Add Contacts
Click Add Contacts in the top-right corner
Select Upload Spreadsheet from the options
Step 3: Upload Your CSV File
A pop-up window will appear
Select your saved CSV file and click Proceed
5. It will open a pop-up where you can select and open your .CSV file. Choose your CSV and then click proceed
Step 4: Map Your Columns
Match the spreadsheet columns to the required contact fields (e.g., First Name, Email Address, Phone Number)
Ensure that all required fields are mapped correctly
Step 5: Manage Duplicates
Choose which mapped property (Email Address or Phone Number) should be used to identify existing contacts
Decide how to handle duplicates:
Update Existing Contacts: Update existing entries with new data from the CSV.
Skip Duplicates: Keep existing entries unchanged
After the upload, you will receive a summary email confirming the upload status and any skipped contacts
Step 6: Finalize the Upload
Click Upload Contacts to complete the process
Done! Now you can view your newly uploaded contacts and will be able to filter them later if needed.
