Not all customers need to be part of your marketing campaigns, and some may prefer to opt out. Using LocalContacts, you can easily exclude individuals from receiving emails or messages through the OneLocal platform

Step 1: Access the Contact in LocalContacts

  1. Open LocalContacts in your OneLocal dashboard

  2. Use the search bar to locate the customer you want to opt out of communications

  3. Click on the contact’s name to view their details

Step 2: Edit the Contact’s Communication Preferences

  1. Click the Edit button in the top-right corner of the contact's profile

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Edit Contact Details

Step 3: Opt-Out of Communications

  1. Under the contact details, choose the field (email, phone, or both) you wish to exclude from receiving communications

  2. Select Opted Out for the chosen field(s)

Step 4: Save the Changes

Click Save to confirm the updates. The contact will no longer receive emails or messages through the platform

  • Opted-out contacts will still remain in your database but won’t be included in any future campaigns

  • If a customer changes their mind, you can reverse the opt-out by editing their contact details again
