How to Create a Google Analytics Account

Follow these steps to set up your Google Analytics account and start tracking your website data:

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Click Start for Free and sign in using your business Google account

  2. Once logged in, click Set up for Free

  3. Fill in the Account Name field with your business name, scroll down, and click Next

  4. Enter your business name again in the Property Name field, select your time zone, and choose the option to create a Universal Analytics Property

  5. When the expanded menu appears, enter your website URL and click Next

  6. Complete the following fields:

    • Industry Category: Choose the category that best fits your business.

    • Business Size

    • Usage Intentions: Select at least the first option.
      Then, click Create

  7. Agree to Google's Terms of Service and the Google Measurement Controller-Controller Data Protection Terms by checking the boxes and clicking I Accept

  8. Follow these instructions to add the tracking code to your website. You’ll also see additional options—review them as needed

  9. Once setup is complete, add OneLocal as a user in your Google Analytics account so they can connect your dashboards for optimized tracking
