One of the many additional features we are able to offer you with your LocalSite website is a blog feature. This is a fantastic place to share your expertise with your clients.

With the LocalSite blog feature, you will be given access to edit, create, and post your own blog posts to your website. Let's get started!

1. Log into your LocalSite Website here

2. On the left hand navigation you will click BLOG.

3. This is where you will be able to see all of your blogs and create new ones.

Creating a New Post

1. Let's create a new post by clicking the NEW POST button on the top left

2. Fill in all the basic information about your post here.

PRO TIP: Don't forget to add a high quality image so the post looks good.

3. Click START when you're ready

4. Now you're ready for you to add the body of the post. There are a few things to note at this stage, the Post Title, Image, Author, and Date are all populated based on what you filled in in step 2. See Editing Your Posts (further below) on how to fix/change anything in these categories.

5. We have some elements in each post to help guide you in your writing IE: Subtitle, images and of course, the body of your post.

6. Simply click an element to change it

Editing Your Posts

When you've created your post, but maybe realized you wanted to use a different Title, or Image, this is how you edit those features:

From the left hand navigation, click BLOG and then the GEAR icon on the blog post you're looking to change.

Here you will be able to change your post's details like Image, Post Title, Author etc

If you're looking to change the CONTENT of your blog post, you would navigate back to the first blog page (see below) and click the PENCIL icon.

Other Notable Features

1. Preview - where you can see how the blog post will look to clients on your website before it goes live.

2. Duplicate - to make an exact copy of the selected post.

3. Delete - to permanently delete a post.

4. Publish - to make your post LIVE on your website.

Now you're ready to post your very own blog! If you have any questions, you can reach us in the chat bubble at the bottom of your screen, or you can reach out to your Marketing Specialist.
