The Dashboard Manager
See and manage all your Dashboards in one central place. Our Dashboard Manager lists all the Dashboard views you have access to, allowing you to easily manage and share these.
To access the Dashboard Manager, select Dashboard in the main navigation menu, and then, Dashboard Manager:
You can take usual management actions from this page, by selecting the edit icon on the right, which allows you to:
Edit a Dashboard's name
Duplicate a Dashboard view
Favorite a Dashboard for easy access
Manage access to the Dashboard, so that others can view and/or edit
Delete a Dashboard: you'll only be able to delete a Dashboard view if you are the owner. You'll then find the Dashboard in the Trash area, where you can restore it, if needed.
Sharing Dashboards
π To be able to share a Dashboard, you must have the permission to share dashboards enabled.
The share feature of the dashboard allows you to send a configured dashboard view you've made to other users or teams in your business, or even the entire company.
For example, if you're a manager whose team all work on the same set of metrics, configure a dashboard for them to track all their own data, and share it with them.
Or, if you want a team to be able to report on high-level metrics, create a view and share it with the leadership team, for example.
To share a dashboard:
Create the dashboard you wish to share.
Check out our Get Started guide for step-by-step instructions.
βNext, select the share icon in the top right of the Dashboard:
Alternatively, navigate to the Dashboard Manager, then the edit icon on the far right of the dashboard you wish to share, and then, manage access:
Choose who to share the dashboard with.
Share options include specific users, specific teams, or the entire company.
Sharing a dashboard with a team or company shares the dashboard dynamically, meaning it will be shared with future members of that team or company. If a user is removed from a team, they'll no longer have access to the dashboard shared with that team.
π Users need the view company dashboard permission, to be able to view a company dashboard.
Next, select whether you'd like to give view or edit access when sharing.
If you don't select anything, users will be able to view the dashboard you have shared, but not make any changes to it.
You're able to change user access level for dashboards you manage (i.e., are the owner of, or have edit-access of) at any point, by going to the dashboard share icon, and changing it against the teams or users listed.
Those with edit access can perform all dashboard-related actions (e.g., make changes, share with others), but they cannot delete a dashboard or transfer ownership.
If a user has received multiple shares, we'll always give them the highest-level access they've received.
If you make a change to a dashboard you share with other others, those users will see any reflected changes.
Transfer Ownership
It's possible to transfer ownership of a dashboard so that another individual in the business can manage it/make changes.
π Only the owner of a dashboard can transfer ownership.
Select the kebab menu in the top right of the dashboard management bar, and then select transfer dashboard ownership.
βΉοΈ You'll no longer be able to make changes to the dashboard, once you've transferred ownership.
You'll still be able to view and access the dashboard.
Data Access
When sharing a dashboard with other users, what they'll be able to see will be determined by:
Their data access level
The configuration of the individual widgets (i.e., what data each widget on the dashboard is set up to show)
When viewing a company dashboard, users need a special permission: the view company dashboard permission.
π‘ Top tip:
We recommend configuring widgets with the 'show data for logged in user' option.
This way, when the dashboard is shared and the shared user views it, they will see their own performance data in the widget(s).
If a user doesn't have the data access required to view the widget (e.g., the widget is configured to show data for a specific team and the person does not have access to see that teams' data), the below message will appear:
Managing default Dashboards
Easily control which Dashboard your team can see when they login to OneUp, by setting a default Dashboard.
π Related permissions:
To be able to change your own default dashboard, you must have the Change Own Default Dashboard enabled. Disable this for certain roles, if you don't want your teams to change the default view you've applied.
To manage others' default dashboards, you must have the Manage Default Dashboards permission enabled.
Set a default when managing Dashboard access
Navigate to the Dashboard Manager, under Dashboard in the main menu.
Then, select the edit menu on the right of the Dashboard you wish to set as a default, and then Manage access.
Select the make default button next to the users, teams or the entire company.
Note: If users have the change own default Dashboard permission enabled, they will be able to override the default you have set, at any time.
Set a default when adding users
When adding a new user, you are now able to set a dashboard default straight away, in the user creation flow:
